Hi, I’m Kara! I recently earned my BFA in Photojournalism from RIT in Western Upstate New York. Starting next month I will be photographing for the Las Vegas Review-Journal as a summer intern…Yes I am excited to experience the sun for once!!

I grew up surrounded by dysfunction. It made me both observant and curious. It shaped the way I see the world today. My passion lies in forming meaningful, empathetic connections with the people I work with, allowing me to tell their stories in an authentic, creative, and impactful way.

I specialize in long-form storytelling through still photography and photo editing, as well as editing for news.

When not working I enjoy painting, making collages, taking walks, going to the movies, listening to the Grateful Dead and playing with my Maine Coon kitten, Goose!
